The Ron Brown Trophy – the Club Ladies Open Singles – was
held on Tuesday 18th February, with just three entrants (Eleanor
Beale, Barbara Coates and Sarah Bryan). They played each other in a round
robin, with Sarah emerging victorious having won both of her matches with some
excellent tennis. She was duly presented with the Ron Brown Trophy, which
is a beautifully carved slab of white marble.
