A glorious Spring Saturday was the backdrop to the Ladies Club Handicap Championship.

It may have been civilised and peaceful outside…but within the walls of BRTC – carnage.

Friendships and family bonds were discarded at the door as these warriors set upon each other for 5 ½ hours of merciless bat wielding mayhem.

In a splendid display of handicap Tennis, all the matches were hotly contested.

Shots were played, shots were missed.

Chases were beaten, dreams were shattered and only the Winning Gallery survived without damage….

But as the dust cleared, only one remained.

So congratulations to Fiona Rugg who was the deserved champion for 2025!

The place for second was a very close battle but well done Sarah Bryan for being best of the rest.

A fantastic day of non-stop Tennis and thank you to all the players.
