Sunday 10th November.
A date to go down in history.
Regardless of the weather outside, there was a storm brewing on court.
A fantastic day of tennis was had when the Cambridge mob game knocking on our door.
Bristol managed to win the opening singles, lost the doubles, won the following singles and then lost the fourth match - a doubles again.
So it was down to the the fifth and final match of the day to see who would be crowned the Ultimate Fighting Champions.
Would the pattern continue? The atmosphere was tense and the sun was low in the sky when the formidable Grattan Macgiffin strode onto court.
Eyeball to Eyeball with our very own Sam Beale.
This was it.
Through the blood, sweat and tears (mostly mine from the markers seat), and once the ball fluff had settled - only one man remained standing.
It was, of course , Sam 'The terminator' Beale.
So thank you to the entire Cambridge team and our own heroic squad for a great day.
It was emotional.
